On Saturday, the 19th of April, from 19:00 to 20:00, the film Kraker van de Noordzee, Film Still Squatter of the North Sea, video created by Jonat Deelstra, Peter Balm and Pim Havinga, will be screened at GoMulan.
Jonat Deelstra created a ceramic series titled Funeral Home the North Sea in combination with a video installation called Squatter of the North Sea. In this installation, Deelstra proposes an alternative burial ritual where urns and coffins are lowered to the bottom of the North Sea to protect marine life from fishing trawlers. In this short film, Deelstra engages in conversations with funeral directors to explore the feasibility of his plan.
